Take Action!

If you are interested in getting involved in supporting animal rights there are many ways to make a difference. Some of these you may already being doing...

  1. Be a responsible pet owner. Click here for advice from the RSCPA.
  2. Report animal cruelty.
  3. Show your support for an animal rights charity by joining them on a social network site.
  4. Write to your local MP to petition for change to help improve the welfare of animals. Click here for help and advice on how to write to your MP.
  5. Volunteer- check out the RSPCA website for volunteering opportunities.
  6. Educate others! Use animal issues as topics for school projects.
  7. Add your name to a petition. Click here to add your name to the global petition for a Universal Declaration on Animal Welfare. This legislation would give animals everywhere the same basic levels of protection.
  8. Buy cruelty free products. Click here to see how.
  9. Find out which shops have better animal welfare standards. Click here for more information.
  10. Donate or raise money for an animal welfare/rights charity.
  11. Adopt an animal. Check out the following websites for more details: Born free, WWF, RSPCA .
  12. Get involved in demonstrations or attend a local event.
  13. Have a meat free Monday (at school and at home) to protect animal rights and help save the planet.
  14. Share your views on the RSPCA’s Give Animals a Voice website.
