Find out more about HeadsUp

What's HeadsUp all about?

HeadsUp is an online debating space for under 18s to discuss their views on political issues with their peers and influencial decision-makers.

HeadsUp aims to build young people's levels of political awareness and participation so that they can play an effective role in the democratic processes affecting their lives.

HeadsUp is also a space politicians can use to consult with young people and find out their ideas, experiences and opinions.

HeadsUp IS...

  • About sharing your views on political issues that affect you
  • Finding out about the ideas and experiences of other young people
  • Getting young people and politicians to talk together
  • Making sure that young people's views are heard by decision-makers and fed into the political process
  • About finding out more about politics
  • Using facts and figures to back up your killer arguments

HeadsUp is NOT...

  • A chatroom
  • Linked to any political party or interest group
  • About ranting on or having a go at people - though not everyone will agree all of the time
